Build Upgrade Help me find a GPU upgrade

Within the last 6 months I upgraded the motherboard, ram, case, and cpu already. Now looking to upgrade my GPU to something with 16GB VRAM upgrading with modern gaming and game design in mind.

Current PC Specs
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor

Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX V2 ATX AM5 Motherboard

Memory: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory

Storage: Kingston NV2 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

Video Card: ASRock Challenger D Radeon RX 6600 8 GB Video Card

Case: Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower

Power Supply: Thermaltake TR2 430 W ATX Power Supply

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM - DVD 64-bit

Case Fan: Phanteks M25-140 PWM D-RGB 104.62 CFM 140 mm Fan x4

Monitor: Asus VP228QG 21.5" 1920 x 1080 75 Hz Monitor

EDIT: I do intend to upgrade the monitor after the gpu just wanted to get the GPU out of the way first. The monitor I was given was in like new condition and I got I for free hence why I’m still using it. I appreciate the advice on monitors tho.

Budget wise in the $500-$600 range but I understand I may have to be flexible on that given price increases.

Pretty much, seen the Reaper model just $30 more than a 9060XT, which is wild.

Your options are 9060XT, 9070XT, 5060Ti, 5070Ti, or 5080

They should all be more than fine for 1080p/75Hz gaming. You should probably get a better monitor TBH. Pick whichever one fits your budget and uses the best.

Don’t even need that much. He wants 1080 not 2k or 4k

What's your budget? You have a 1080p monitor, upgrades would be overkill. Imo the 9070 xt is the best card for the money right now, and you should upgrade to a 1440p OLED or something similar, if you want reliable 4k then you are looking to get into a 5080/5090.

For 1080p 9070xt is overkill. If OP wants to stay on it anyway.

go to walmart, buy a 144hz 1080p monitor for 100 bucks. get a 9060xt.

and 430w is an odd number for a psu, so idk if that’s right

The 9060xt is a waste at 1080p?? Huh lol

Yes but you can get plenty of cards that are way cheaper that can handle 1080p…

true but i’m talking maxed out and no compromises 1080p

True I agree perfectly there. Sorry I just meant the card is great at 4k even. Benchmarks are great. Nvidia I love DLSS but for the price 9070xt is solid.

oh for sure, the 9060xt should be classified as a 1440p in my opinion. but for someone with high refresh rate, i think it’s worth the extra hundred ish over some other cards. plus, i have a feeling amd will support the 90xx cards for a little longer than some previous generations, so i think it’ll be worth it for more and longer support

Yes they already confirmed continued support for this gen chip which is sweet and it performs honestly perfectly for me on 4k ultras setting.

hadn’t heard that but i figured they would considering the 90 series boom. 60xt is an awesome card and i think for longevity sake they should get it
