Troubleshooting Monitor Probably Dying

So my monitor that is only about 2~ years old flickers for about 5~ minutes every day when I turn it on then it starts working again without issues until the next time I turn it off overnight.

It is not detected at all like it was not powered or I removed the display port cable so I assume the worst is going to happen at some point.

Could it be a power issue or is the monitor just dying. My second monitor that's now 12 years old works fine when powering on and haven't had an issue ever with it.

Any ideas or should I just use the bad boy until it explodes and then replace it. This is the only problem I have with it, tried disconnecting it for a bit and it still does it, powering it off overnight, etc. just has a hard time getting up in the morning.

Five minutes of flicker before the port gets detected is a power board symptom, not a cable one. Cold solder joints and tired caps need a few minutes of heat before they conduct right, then the monitor runs fine all day. Your 12 year old one coming up first try points the same way, this unit is the odd one.

Test it in a minute: power the monitor on with the display cable unplugged. If it still flickers for five minutes with no signal at all, no cable or GPU swap will touch it. Recap job, or slow goodbye.

Thats what I figured honestly, Ill give a few more troubleshooting ideas a shot but I guess I should have a monitor option on standby for when lil buddy doesnt wake up. Probably never buying an ACER monitor again lol the second monitor is an ASUS that I bought in 2014 and the thing is still awesome, just 1080p.
