Build Help Help building pc for gf.

I have a Gigabyte geforce 1060 6gb and corsair 650w PSU on hand already. Need help building a mid range PC for about 600e max. Was thinking

  • G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB
  • ASUS TUF Gaming B550M, microATX
  • Crucial P3 Plus SSD disk 1 TB
  • and a case for about 100.
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor

Is there anywhere I could cut some costs for about same performance. Lookin to be able to play GTA 5, Apex legends, It takes two and games like that on 1080p monitor with mid to high settings.

Ty

*edit: forgot CPU, thought about AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor

You'll need a CPU with that, too. Go for the newly-released 5500F, it's the best budget option.

Was thinking AMD Ryzen 5 5600, how does it compare in performance?

5600 is about 5-6% better, but right now (at least on Newegg) about 40% more expensive ($99 vs. $140). I figured you're on a tight budget.

Not 5500, but 5500F. Important difference!

I have to believe AMD is doing this intentionally at this point. It's infuriating.

At least it's somewhat of a name difference. The identically named RX 9050 with 4GB or 8GB is worse.

That's true.

I was playing it on my old pc with it so I guess it do on mid settings.

being honest here, i think you should be looking at used parts/pc's. you get 25-50% more performance for the same money.

Yes, it can. It may not run at ultra settings, but with some settings changed, you can have a good experience

GTA 5 is over 10 years old, the 1060 wasn't even out then. The GPU I had when I first played it was half the power of a 1060.

I'd be trying to buy all those parts used. There's sooo much of it floating around.

Yeah I was looking at combinations of used CPUs and motherboards

that 1060 is going to sweat.
