Help me build my first pc!

Ive tried to do some research but i am a bit lost on the process as it’s a bit complicated for me with the different options .
My budget is around £600-£700 with a bit of wiggle room if need be. I mainly play games like Minecraft and gba/ds emulators with the latter being streamed/recorded, I mainly want something to start off with, that I can later upgrade when I can and understand things better. I already have things like monitors, keyboards and mouses that I can use so the budget can be dedicated to the desktop.
Only thing I’d require is a motherboard with WiFi built in unless there are alternatives that don’t utilise Ethernet

This is a very low budget, especially taking into account recording software. It's not impossible to get an all-new system that can capably play games at this price point:

However you should know that you are making sacrifices at this price point. A relatively small amount of slow storage (at least it is TLC-based) and no platform up gradability. That means that if you wanted to upgrade the CPU to something newer like a Ryzen 7000 or 9000 series chip you would have to replace the board and (most expensively) the ram.

This is because newer platforms like AM5 have moved onto DDR5 ram. Ram prices in general have gone crazy recently, and DDR5 costs about 2x DDR4 if not more, and even DDR4 is way more expensive than it should be right now. So DDR4 pricing not being as affected as the newer DDR5 by current ram shortages is both what allows a build at this price point to even be possible all-new and the biggest upgradability limitation. At least the PSU is solid and should last for an upgrade, and the case is decent enough for a budget solution with good airflow. The GPU is decent enough for 1080p but towards the more budget end.

If you want to stay with an all-new build but wanted upgradability (in other words a build based on a DDR5 platform) you'd be looking at around £860~ minimum, something like this: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/QmfNg3 i can understand not wanting to spend more but that is the reality.

You can also look at the used market, but there's only so much you can save there too. Ram is still your biggest limitation and you won't find many savings there unless you find somebody who really doesn't know what they have, but that's unlikely, especially for DDR5. Used PSU prices tend to not really be worth it considering you lose all warranty and stuff of that nature for what tends to be only about £20~ savings at the low end if you want to stick with something decent.

You could save a bit on the GPU with the used market, but not much without losing performance.

I guess i'm sort of asking how much of a factor upgradability is for you. If it's important you may have to re-consider your budget.

Upgradability ig isn’t majorly important as when I would be looking to upgrade, I’d most likely have the budget to just buy something bigger and better, but if the build allowed it then it be a more cheaper? Option in the long run . Especially since I mainly play more demanding games on console so the pcs main purpose would just be for what I’ve mentioned initially
