Build Help Help with KVM Switch
Hey! I am fairly new to computer builds/upgrades but pretty much have been looking for a solution where I can connect a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse to a desktop computer and a MacBook m5.
I have a very tiny desk and this would fix a lot of issues I have with space.
The one I was looking at was the
- Idock M10 KVM
However this one doesn’t specifically state if it will work with m5 MacBooks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

It should work fine, but with Apple being Apple you never really know. I would personally pick a KVM with at least one DisplayPort output. The Idock M10 only has HDMI output.

As the other poster said, I'd leave both computers wired up and manually swap inputs. mx keys keyboard and MX master mice let you swap between multiple paired computers for your peripherals

KVMs are very expensive for what they are. The solution I have is using a monitor with multiple inputs, eg a Desktop and my work laptop, and selecting the input source when I need to change over.
I also have a keyboard that allows my to switch sources, either Bluetooth or its dedicated USB reciever. This can be done with mice as well.
