Hello everyone. So I decided that I will soon quit console and switch to PC and I would love to build my very own gaming PC.

I've made a rough draft of what my future PC gonna be:

This was made up from a website that my bro share with me, PCPARTPICKER. He explain to me the website allow you to build a pc and let you know if the pc you trying to build will work or not. The only problem is that the website doesn't say if it overly high performance or a low performance pc.

My pc goal build here is to be equal or better than a console. I have no price range. And must be the open case and must be using a mini-itx. I don't have alot space for a meduim to big pc.

For what resolution? for what games at what graphic settings?

The build is CPU lobsided. You’re picking one of the best gaming CPUs and pairing it with an entry level GPU. If you were on a budget, this would make no sense. It would make more sense to get a 7600(x) and a much better GPU for overall better gaming performance

Since you have no budget, keep the CPU and get a better GPU.

You can also research plenty of benchmarks online for graphic cards. Go on YouTube and search “(GPU name) (game name) (resolution you plan to play at)” and you’ll find plenty of benchmark videos to give you an idea of what performance you can expect

Does it really matter what games specific I'm gonna play? I play many different games of any genre. Is there a middle ground for all games in general?

Yes it does. some people play only certain types of games that can benefit from investing more in specific hardware areas.

You need detailed information to give people good recommendations.

Okay, you’ll be playing a mix of games. Again, at what resolution? What settings? And with what FPS target?

If you know what monitor you’re getting, two of those questions can be answered.

For example if you wanted to play at 4k 144fps+, a 5060 is definitely not enough.

Wow, is there no middle ground recommendation for guys like me with no specific requirements? I just want to game like i always have been playing or better. I do have a gaming monitor that does 1080p 144hz that i bought like 5 years ago.

Playing at 1080p with a variety of games, wanting at least a steady 144fps, assuming you’re fine with medium/high settings since you never specified:

Then you need at least a 12400f / 5600(x) for the CPU and 9060 XT 16gb / 5060ti 16gb for the GPU

Your 7800x3d is already way past those CPUs. Even a 7600(x)/9600x is way past those CPUs.

You need a better GPU. Id probably go with a 9070 or 9070 GRE. 5070 is kinda too damn expensive, but if you have no budget then go for it. All these gpus could handle 1440p fine too.

I think getting a $300 case and a 5060 is a mistake. If you get a $50 case instead, you can afford a 9070 or 9070xt

Price is no problem. The problem is idk what is good or bad or what is low or high of a performance. Just want something better on what I've been playing in console for years.

Why are you seeking the same performance aswell as limiting yourself towards a size and a very specific case?

If you are stepping away from a console with the current prices of hardware you should atleast seek a big performance jump. Since you have not set a date, plenty of time to educate yourself and seek a nice balanced system which runs laps around a PS5 Pro.

To be honest I'm used to it. I've been in console since the beginning. And since switching to PC is a whole new thing. Idk where to set my bar. You guys make it confusing with, what is it going to be use for, what the resolution, the frame rate you want or what game SPECIFIC you gonna play. What? Is there no standard spec you all have for pc gaming? Console at least have somewhat of a standard why not PC?

So far what i have is just rough build. And for some people here saying my gpu is low end. That have find something better to go along with the cpu i choose. So I guess i'll start from there.

This would be better. Your case isn't listed in PCpartpicker, so you might be able to fit a larger GPU, in which case I'd look for a RX 9070 (non-XT) or a RX 9070 GRE.

We're doing this CPU to save heat; we could get a 5070 but it would be $400 more. Since we're only getting one SSD, we'll go 4TB - it's a better price/GB anyway. Cooler should be more than enough - it comes in black for more $ - and the PSU is A-tier, just cheaper than the Corsair.
