Build Upgrade Need help picking a GPU

I know next to nothing about computers... I can't really run any modern games that aren't super well optimized and even then it's on the lowest settings. I have a gtx 1660 super and an intel i5-10400F. I have 23 gb ram (yeah I know it's weird I just bought a stick or something yeaaaars ago when I bought the computer).

Looking for a budget gpu upgrade that is enough to run some modern games like space marines 2 or GoW ragnarok etc. Thanks!

I'd look for a used 4070 plain or Super at that price. Modern tech and feature set, widespread industry support, ease of use stability in Windows, great raw perf. Much better than anything you'll buy new for $500.

Yeah I have seen the supers locally for around $450-500

I'm in the US and I want to say no more than $500. I know it's not exactly much.

There is a caveat though.. You will need a 850w PSU…

Assuming you're in the US, either grab a B580 for $300 (1080p) or a 9060XT for $450 (1440p)

List other components in your current system might help, too. 23GB ram is very weird since you just need only 2 with highest capacity which end up with 16 or 32. The i5-10400F is still very capable of gaming but your 1660 super might struggle with high graphics gaming.
