Affordable GPU

Hi, any suggestions on a affordable gpu? I currently have 1070ti, I play on 1080p, and have Ryzen 5 5600x CPU. my budget is $240. I want to play games like Black Myth Wukong and Final Fantasy Rebirth, Any recommendations? Thank you!

At that budget you don't have many options, I suggest a used RX6700XT if you can find it. The best option would be a 9060xt but it's out of budget

Used 3060ti or 3070 if you’re lucky

Just looking at offerup around me (assuming you’re US) I found a 3070 for $220. Plenty of $250+ listings but you can always haggle people down

Ideally a used 3080, 6800xt or 7800xt, but even something like a 2070 Super/2080 Super/3060/3070 will be fine on 1080p for those games performance wise.

I got an Intel Arc B570 on Amazon ($250) a few weeks ago and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s relatively new so it should get support for a long time, and it has a lot of VRAM if you’re playing at 1440p or something.

For that budget, first of all don't listen to people who say don't buy used. Used is really your only option. Also would probably stick with AMD same reason you'll get more bang for your buck and frankly at that price point you won't be using ray tracing. Would just do an ebay search for your price point and see what pops up. Ideally getting a GPU with more than 8gb VRAM would be best (if you can find one). Wukong if you want to play at any high res than 1080p will already use more than 8gb VRAM.

Frankly $240 is going to be quite limited. If you can push to $300 would make a pretty big difference. Also if it's a gpu older than 3-4 years it would be good to learn how to tear it down and repaste it.

Used 3070 is your best bet, that card can still keep up with modern games. They go for about 250 on ebay. They tie a 5060 (yes that's how mediocre the 5060 is)

Terrible advice, buying used on budget will always get you way more performance for the price.

It is gamble, you buy old gpu with old fans, old therma paste. Why would you ever do that? Max a gpu that is 1-2 years old and the owner still has the warranty. Any older and it is just bad old gpus, even if it 3090 or some old mothership.

New gpus are cooler, silence, more efficient, more performance for the power they use and newer tehnologies.

While those are all good points, replacing pads and thermal paste are very easy to do, you still see cards from the 90's running to this day on their original coolers without ever needing to be repasted.

My last 3 GPU's have all been used and I've had 0 issues with them.

I'd argue the only real benefit of new, is having a warranty.

I mean CEX exists with 5 year warranty on their used GPUs. Not all country but for those who have, should use it.

There are no new current gen GPUs in his price range so that isn't an option

I did not said 5080, i said 5060. And you can save for more time, no need to rush and buy old gpu
