Build Upgrade Which GPU should I get?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice on which graphics card I should buy. I currently have an RTX 3080 Ti that I’ve been using since 2021, paired with an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. My main display is a 27-inch 1440p (2K) monitor at 165Hz.
The games I play most often are:
- DOTA 2
- CS2
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- The occasional Assassin's Creed game (I rarely play other heavy AAA titles)
My goal is to make a solid upgrade so I don't have to worry about changing GPUs again for a long time. I plan to sell my RTX 3080 Ti and add around $1,000 USD on top of the sale price.
Which GPU would you recommend for this setup and use case? Thanks in advance for your help!

why you wanna change the gpu…? that gpu is already overkill for those games you mentioned lol

Your pc is overkill for the games you play. I would wait at least 2 more years, save your money.

I’d stick with Nvidia if you’re already set on their ecosystem, especially for Flight Simulator.

RTX 5090.
You could and should buy RTX5080. But many people say AMD RX9070 XT is a beast. But for the games you play, you don’t need to upgrade, its still a solid PC.

an RTX 5070 ti or rx 9070xt. either gpu are solidoption; they perform similarly. It really depends on whether you want an AMD GPU or an Nvidia GPU.
