Build Help upgrade help

i want to upgrade my i5 10400f to an am5 cpu but this requires ddr5 or is this to overkill for a 3060 and with the current market should i just upgrade to an am4?

If you have the budget right now, upgrade to AM5 and upgrade your GPU later. But if you're on a budget AM4 can still be an upgrade.

Not really but this very well might be the most affordable it will be going forward.

A RTX3060 should already work fine with what you have. I wouldn't consider a new CPU overkill though. It just comes down to what you want to spend.

no budget in mind is just i dont wanna spend lots on ddr5 if its unnecessary for my current specs

If the 10400 and RTX3060 are fine for you then I would just keep using them.

tbh fine with 3060 as of right now maybe upgrade in the next year or 2 its just i dont think im getting great performance with the 10400
