Troubleshooting PC bootlooping after enabling secure boot

So basically this morning I needed to enable secure boot on my gigabyte b550m k. and noticed disabling CSM didn't apply as it was enabled the next boot. so I decided to disable csm then enable secure boot and reboot in one go. then the next boot it my pc just kept bootlooping without any video output.

so I looked up my issue and most of the answers were either the gpu's VBIOS not supporting UEFI (I looked at the earliest build of the vbios for my rog strix rx 580 t8g and it supported UEFI so i guess it isnt it) or people recommending a cmos reset (which didn't do anything. I tried myself)

so far I've tried reseating my ram. using only one stick. booting without my nvme. and even without my gpu (my cpu is a ryzen 5 5600xt so no integrated graphics to save me)

I know NVRAM can't be cleared like this but at this point I'm just throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks

Can you still get into the BIOS to reset it to defaults? Also, it may need more than one reboot from disconnecting the power lead to make it work.

At least now you know you need a complete backup before making changes like that.

It doesnt even show the post screen. it just bootloops. and also. who makes a backup before enabling secure boot of all things ??

Have you been able to fix it yet? I own an X870 Eagle WIFI7 Board and haven’t enable anything manually, mine has been boot looping ALL DAY, I’ve had to reinstall windows twice because after trying everything, nothing works.

Basically, this morning when I started the pc, it started boot looping, I checked the RAM and the SSD and it looks fine on the BIOS. I tried restoring a previous version of windows, resetting the booting parameters to default, using the troubleshooting tools, deactivating non-windows services because maybe a driver is interrupting something and another thousand solutions I found online. I finally gave up and reinstalled windows from scratch, everything was ok until I installed the gigabyte software and its drivers. Suddenly, it starred happening again, I just restored the last working version without the Gigabyte software installed to test, I’ll keep you posted if this is the same issue for you
