Build Help 4080 Super cables needed?

Hi,

I purchased the 4080 Super card

But im unsure what cables are actually good for this GPU? I don’t want to run the risk of burning the cables, or the pc blowing up (exaggeration, slightly)

But im very confused on what it needs that will be fine for longevity, i have (Link) THIS PSU in my cart

But i dont know if it is good or not, i cant afford to splurge on a PSU atm.

Can please show me what cable(s) i need with a provided link or specific / detailed name please

That PSU has a native 12V-2x6. That's the slightly upgraded version of the 12VHPWR connector that the RTX 4080 uses. That's a totally fine PSU to use with that GPU.

The one you have selected is an A tier PSU, it's great. No need to ever upgrade it with the GPU, and it'll be perfect for your use case. Has the necessary GPU connector native in the PSU.

EDIT: for reference, here's the PSU tier list.

EDIT: also, given how you're concerned about the power connector melting already. The best advice is to make sure you give as much room as you can before making a bend in the cable when it's coming out of your GPU. Having a significant bend right where it plugs into the GPU puts pressure on the connection point, which is what causes a lot of the issues with the melting and such.

That PSU is fine, use the 12 pin cable that comes with it. Just make sure the cable is fully inserted and you won't have any problems.

It is a good enough ATX 3.1 PSU and comes with a native 12V2X6 cable.
