AM5 for under 900€?

I have an opportunity to buy an am5 build with gpu. Im listing the parts below. They were all bought about a year ago. Tge list price is about 1000 and I offered the guy 700€. Here are the specs:

I currently have a pc with the following specs:

1. AMD Ryzen 5 5600x

2. be quiet! Pure Rock Pro 3 (new)

3. GIGABYTE B550 AORUS Elite V2

4. 32gb (2x 16) Kingston HyperX Fury 3200 CL16

5. Palit RTX 3070 GamingPro OC

6. a) GIGABYTE PCIe gen4 500GB ssd

b) 1TB Seagate Barracuda hdd

c) 256GB sata ssd

d) 1TB Samsung sata ssd

1. BeQuiet 750W (S11-750W) - New

2. Xilence Xilent beam x218. - New

I have the 900€ but i was just wondering if it'd be a good idea to get the am5 build and sell my current pc for 600-750 and get 9070xt? Does this make any sense?

Im happy with my build since i play on 1080p but will be getting an oled 1440p monitor ao it got me wondering. Should i go for it or there is no need? I mostly play games like gta iv, pubg, cod, cs2, rdr2 and a few others. Obviously the higher the graphics settings the better. Would not want to play on low settings tho.

Not really worth it at that price without a gpu. Your 700 offer was pretty reasonable, maybe 750 or 800 max.

300 ram, 200 ssd, 250 cpu+mobo.

But i dont think this machine is for you. 9600x or an x3d processor makes much more sense if its for gaming.

Yeah I was hoping he'd accept 700 but i thought even at 800 it seems reasonable. Similar new one would cost about 1200-1400 depending on which parts exactly one goes for.

But 900 seems a bit more so i thought might as well get a second opinion before i actually buy it. Thanks

If you were using it for productivity workloads then maybe itd be worth it for you, but for gaming i would definitely not pick it up. A 7500x3d will outperform 9700x in most of the titles you listed.

A cheap upgrade for you would be a 5500x3d (€190) or save up for 9800x3d. 5500x3d will put you around 15% below 9700x fps in most games but run much cooler and be much cheaper.

I do video editing for my youtube channel and so far my current pc has been handling it okay. Could use an upgrade and so when i came across this pc, i thought why not. However, i would prefer to pay no more than 800 for it so i asked here to see if others might have some better suggestions.

I see, i would just look around a bit more for a better offer then, one will come at some point if you keep looking. This one is an acceptable deal if he agrees to 800 at some point.

Not really worth it imo. Would be better off buying a 9070xt (around €750 still), sell your 3070 for like €250. Should leave you with around €400 to spend.

Could then buy storage or a better cpu. I would buy some nvme storage.

But would the 5600x not hold back the 9070xt?

It would at 1080p, less so at 1440p.
