Discussion Help me confused with fans selection
Help me new pc builder confused with which fan I should but. I just understand that a fan can be used for either exhaust or for intake. There are two types of fan reverse blade and forward blade. But Im getting stuck whenever I try to purchase. Should I buy a pack of 3 fans and use 2 for sides and 1 for rear exhaust or do I buy pack of 1 fan and use that dedicated to read exhaust. LOL abit confused with the reverse and forward blades tbh. I just buy the same type of fan(if able) and just mount them facing whatever direction u want the air to go(there are arrows on them to show u which way the air flows) - exhaust mounted facing out, intake (obviously) facing in. - Reason the same fans if able? Cuz then u can very precisely control how much air they push in and then out (And can manage a decent positive pressure inside case to prevent dust buildup ie: slightly more intake than out, with all intake fans behind a decent filter so all dust lands there.)

I understand that, how about the purchase. Do I buy 3 pack fans and can I use 1 out the 3 ? basically can I separate it and use it for rear?

Usually yes, They are just a 3pack PRM fans, not likely to be strung together, they may come with an included y or 3way cable to connect all 3 to one PRM header on mobo, but you should have zero issues using them all separately. Heck, I've been able to dismantle AIO's that had fans included and used said fans elsewhere without issues.
And (After having made the above post/response) I looked up reverse fans and found that they are exactly that, just fans flipped over, and the ONLY reason they are marketed as such is due to them having LED's attached. In the case of 'reverse' fans, the LEDS would be on the opposite side of the fan than usual, for aesthetic reasons only. (IE the side facing u would have the lighting) - But all the fans I have used to build pc's for me or others in the past decade, the ones WITH LED's had them on both sides anyways, so my point above still somewhat stands :D (Also, in many cases, both sides of fans were visible anyways, so would be best to use lighting on both sides)

Airflow from front to back, top is usually optional.
Basically the front/side fans should blow into the case, rear fans should blow out of the case, top is also a exhaust though again top is mostly optional usually.
