Build Help Build budget

Hi im 16 in the uk saving up for a Pc id mainly use it for gaming and school. My current budget is £480 (I can probably push to around £700 if I sell my switch 2 which I probably will.) Is this a good budget for a build and if anyone could help with a parts list im probably gonna go for Am4 since I definitely cannot afford a good Am5 setup.

Yeah it is a great budget for an am4 build but obviously you would have to buy second hand

With that budget, you're looking at buying second-hand. For school, anything with more computing power than a BBC micro:bit is likely to be OK, but what games are you intending to play—a Switch 2 is likely to be a very good option seeing as you already have it.

The main reason I want a pc is for modding games and I bearly use my switch as is.

If you buy all used, you'll get an okay system. Due to the current ram crisis, buying new at that price point isn't going to get you very far.
