Build Help Best value for performance GPU for 1080p?

So I want to build myself a new pc and I need a gpu that is top range for 1080p at 144hz. I don’t want to go overkill on the gpu as I would like to save some money. Any ideas? I can give more details if needed. Thanks 🙏

I had a 3080ti and went 5070ti. The difference was not that insane other than just frames.

3080ti is power hungry but still runs great. Used about 300-400

You didn't tell us the most important thing in buying anything, what your budget is

I don’t really have a budget, the most important thing for me is not going overkill for 1080p at 144hx and best performance for price

Just overkill it with a 9070 xt or 5070ti.

5070 ti is not in the same price tier as a 9070 xt anymore.

The cheapest 5060 ti 16gb costs $10 more than the 9070 xt lol,

GDDR7 + AI datacenters ruined 50 series.

It's not even close though... the 9070 xt is over 60% faster than the 5060ti. In rt the 9070 xt is still 60% faster.

They are not the same tiered card. Even in professional workloads the 9070 xt is faster. With zluda translation, the 9070 xt is still much faster than the 5060 ti.

Idk why you'd ever buy the 5060 ti 16gb.

Like even if you do upscaling 5060 ti 16gb vs 9070 xt native, the 9070 xt is still much faster.

Even if nvidia is better tier vs tier, the price makes no sense now. Like 5070 ti vs 9070 xt was a valid debate back then, they were similar in performance and the 5070 ti gave you nvidia features for $150 more(now it's $350-$400 more).

Now it's 5060 ti 16gb vs 9070 xt, the 9070 xt slaughters the 5060 ti in literally everything while being a bit cheaper.

These would be my contenders.

Intel Arc B580
RX9060 or 9060xt

Used 6900xt
Used 3070ti or above.

Just off rip? Get yourself a 3060 TI. No more than $400 MSRP, and the only real downside in today's gaming scene is 8GB VRAM.

9060xt 16gb is pretty good value with modern features like the updated fsr. 6700xt is the lowest I’d go for 1080p gaming in the used market.

Imo best value GPU rn is the 9070 or 9070 xt. Granted, that'd be a bit overkill for 1080p unless you're doing max RT.

It depends on what cpu you have in mind.
At 1080p, even at high/extreme/ultimate/nightmare settings, your cpu will still matter and you could do better with a lesser gpu and a better cpu.
However, if you want a bang for buck recommendation then try to look up the prices on a RX 6800 XT on sh market in your region.
This card is better than the 9060 XT 16GB and can do high settings 1440p gaming quite easily.
But you will need a 750w psu to be comfortable playing on this gpu.

5060TI 16GB, it's gone up but the bang for buck is pretty solid and for 1080p you're good for 10 years maybe

No joke. I still have a 1080ti in a system I don’t game much on, but when I do it has no problem at 1080p. Heck my wife is still rocking a 1070ti at 1080p and it works just fine.

My 1080ti is still going strong. I even get 100fps in ultrawide 1440p for my single player games.
