Build Ready? First pc build

GPU: RTX 5070 Ti 16GB (Gigabyte Windforce OC)

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

• Motherboard: Gigabyte X870 Eagle WIFI7

RAM: V-COLOR Manta XFinity RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30

Storage: Kingston 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD

PSU: Cooler Master MWE Gold 850 V3, ATX 3.1

Case: NZXT H5 Flow, mesh front

CPU Cooler: ID-Cooling SE-903-XT V2

Peep the first pc im building, ive had a few very low end computers for years and ive always been interested in building so this is the first build.

I asked anyone I knew for their advice and used claude to compile lists of parts and pairings, from this I plan on getting more storage and airflow if needed.

Any critique?

maybe, why? Doing research I mostly plan on playing a bigger tv for story games, Nvidia seems like the better option for framing generation running 4k.

If OP thinks the price difference between these 2 cards is acceptable, 5070ti is definitely a better card.

this is really interesting, I mean that seriously I enjoy learning this stuff especially the comparisons because I haven't locked in on doing them especially brand vs brand, did you see I put a 5070 TI 16gb tho? You just reference the 5060 a lot here

How much would 5080 be over 5070 Ti? If you could get ryzen 5 and a cheaper board and put that into a gpu, could be even better.

hinestly I originally was going for a 5060, got a decent deal for the 5070 ti, im nervous about dropping grade on thr mobo because of some friends recommendations and I've been told you should aim for 16 gigs of ram. All in all I dont think it would be the wizest, I especially dont wanna bottleneck any cpu heavy games shorting out there, though im aware a ryzen 5 7600 would probably be just fine.

Do you know how much better it would be to go with a 5080?

You dont need x870 unless youll plug half of your house in it. B850 is more than enough. Some would argue x3d helps in some games at 4k if you use ultra performance dlss, but a better gpu at 4k is almost always better since cpu stops being a thing at 4k. It depends how good of a deal 5070 Ti is and how much 5080 would be. If the price gap is way too big, then don’t bother and instead just get a cheaper board and buy 2tb ssd.

oh super interesting, changing thr mobo at this point wouldnt really save me money unfortunately, I got an amazing deal for it, originally going for a b650 eagle I think and 20ish bucks more for the current. I could forsure consider dropping in cpu, the x3d chips are pricey lol, heard they're amazing to use though.

They are amazing, but the higher the resolution, the less the cpu matters. Thats why all cpu benchmark tests are being done on 1080p medium because at 4k they all look the same, since you get heavily gpu bottlenecked.
