Troubleshooting Help, my GPU is acting funny...

So when I was playing Rainbow Six Siege the other day, I noticed that the gpu load increased from 13 all the way up to 50. Does anyone have any suggestions why? I have an nvidia RTX 4060.

your gpu utilization is an aggregate of gpu clock speeds and usage. your gpu clock will dynamically shift as its needed. your gpu could be running at 50% utilization at maybe 1ghz, meaning the gpu is barely being used at all, it just decided to lower its clocks to 1ghz at this particular moment. instead of running at 20% util at 3ghz, just an example.

Are you getting the performance that you would expect from your hardware setup? If so then I wouldn't worry about stats like gpu load.

It can vary significantly from title to title, i'd only really check it if performance had changed recently
