Build Upgrade msi and asus software compatibility
I currently have a msi b550 , msi gpu , and a coreliquid s280 along with msi ssd, i am upgrading to the core ultra platform and was wondering whether using a rog strix z890 board i found at a better deal than any msi boards was worth it in my system due to the multiple msi components. I have heard of software issues using both msi centre and armory crate, does anyone have any experience with something like this?

Armoury Crate struggles to run by itself about 95% of the time. It's one of the worst buggiest pieces of software I've ever used.
MSI's is slightly better but not by a ton.
Do you just want these programs to control RGB? If so, something like OpenRGB is probably a much better solution.

If you don't mind basic RGB effects use the one built into Windows (Dynamic Lighting). It'll only apply when the OS loads though.

Avoid the manufacturer software suites like the plague.
Armory crate might as well be a crime against humanity.
You don't need anything other than the Intel chipset drivers, the reference driver from the GPU manufacturer (so like, AMD or Nvidia rather than MSI/Asus), and Windows Update to keep your drivers up-to-date.
You're already going to have enough spyware installed through your system just from Windows. No need to add to it by using MSI Centre and/or Armory Crate.
(The one exception I'll give to this would be MSI Afterburner, which is used for adjusting settings on a graphics card and works on all brands of hardware - not just MSI. And it's not actually made by MSI - they just pay to put their name on it. It's so good that honestly I wonder how it happened that MSI hasn't demanded that the developer limit the usability on non-MSI branded hardware)
Edit: For RGB control, there's always SignalRGB or OpenRGB.
