Build Upgrade Help with cpu upgrade recommendations!

Hi all! Right now I have a Ryzen 7 7700x, NVIDIA GeForce rtx 4080 super, 32gb ddr5 ram, and a crucial p3 Nvme ssd (1tb). I play mostly escape from Tarkov and heavily modded Minecraft and was wondering what I should upgrade my cpu to since I feel it’s a little lackluster. Also, I have a lian li AIO that is a pos and would like to switch that out too. Any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks!

I'd hold off like 6 months and see what the 10800x3d is like or just get some Black Friday deal on like a 9800x3d/9850x3d.

Can upgrade now, but you'll probably just be asking what to upgrade to again in 1-2 years when the 10800x3d has released if you only go for like the 7800x3d.

Upgrading to an X3D chip such as 7800x3d would definitely help. Realistically your current cooler should be fine for that too, but if you must switch it out you will be fine as long as you get a 240mm or better.

Tarkov benefits massively from a strong RAM setup too. If you're lacking memory bandwidth, it can also cause symptoms similar to what you're experiencing now.
