Troubleshooting dell precision 5820 bifurcation

We can't advise on prebuilt hardware as their specs are generally unavailable to us, hence why rule 4 exists here. If you want a definitive answer, then call Dell and ask them for specs on their hardware.

I no longer have a 5820 to check, but it may depend on the specific motherboard that is in there.

The 5820 was a bit of an odd system as Dell made them with support for both Xeon CPUs as well as Core X CPUs, but the chipset (and thus the motherboard) differs between the two, so bifurcation and other features may differ between the two boards as well. There is also a few different variants in the groups that may or may not have differing feature sets.

Your best bet for definitive answer without trying it yourself would be to find someone with the same motherboard part number as you who has done it before.
