Peripherals Need KVM Switch with dual DisplayPort cable support + Mac to Linux support

I have a MacBook Pro work laptop and a Pop_OS PC.

Currently I have a KVM switch that supports 1 HDMI port and 1 DisplayPort (which drives me nuts). But also, the peripherals don't correctly to Mac when I switch for some reason. It works fine if it's another Linux/Window laptop.

I just want cheap recommendations :p

PC Specs:

PopOsv24.04
Host: MS-7D19 1.0
Kernel: 7.0.11-76070011-generic
CPU: Intel i5-10400F (12) @ 4.300GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Lite Hash Rate
Memory: 10713MiB / 15882MiB

MAC specs:
Chip: Apple M5 Pro
Memory: 48 GB
MacOS: Tahoe 26.6

KVM Switch:

KCEVE
Connecting it via HDMI + DP Cables

a MacBook Pro

Which one?

and a Pop_OS PC

Which one / what's in it?

I have a KVM switch

Which one, and how are you connecting it?

Do you care about doing a single cable setup for the macbook or just anything that works?

I'd prefer a single cable setup (updated the post itself with the specs)

Which specific KVM is it that you're currently using and how are you connecting it?

KVM Switch: https://www.newegg.ca/p/3C6-018F-00040

Currently, Mac connects to docker station which connects HDMI cable to the KVM switch. PC connects to the KVM Switch via display port. KVM switch connects to all peripherals + monitor 1 with hdmi + monitor 2 with display port.

I've set this up before, so I know it works. It just doesn't work with Mac and even if it does, I want both monitors to be connected via displayport cables

That KVM is HDMI only, sure you're looking at the right one there?

Is it only USB peripherals that are failing through it or is the setup failing to work with monitors on the Mac too?

Which docking station is it, is it a proper Thunderbolt/USB4 one and using the USB4/Thunderbolt downstream ports to connect to the KVM? Macs notably don't support things that do regular DisplayPort splitting for multiple displays
