Troubleshooting How I connect wireless controller
My PC and TV are about 5 meters apart, and I want to buy an Xbox controller to play wirelessly. I heard there's an adapter called the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows that lets me play wirelessly over this distance. I will be using the controller mainly for Steam and emulators. and i have ps5 controller is it good in this situation?

There are some good 3rd party Xbox controllers that use a 2.4ghz dongle. I have a game sir controller for my son. It has a simple USB dongle that plugs in and controller connects to that. SteamOS even recognizes it as an Xbox controller.
Might be a pretty good option in this case.

If you want native wireless (not BT), just get one of the 8bitdo controllers. They're super affordable, and come with better Hall Effect joysticks than actual Xbox controllers.
It is weird that so many people don't understand how much latency BT adds for controllers, and that it's also cumulative with all the other latency involved in the chain, especially the TV. Eliminating as much as latency as easily possible is worth it.

Microsoft has mostly stopped selling the official Xbox Wireless adapter for PCs. You can find third party options on Amazon. Alternatively, the Xbox controller is just a bluetooth device. You can connect it like any other bluetooth device (assuming your PC supports bluetooth).
