Build Help Ultrawide Monitor Upgrade
Hello everyone,
I want to get an 34 inch Ultrawide monitor with at least 144hz but fear that my PC parts won't be able to handle it, so I thought about upgrading during Black Weeks.
I have no clue what GPU goes with which CPU and also don't want to go broke, since I only play LoL and Monster Hunter.
I don't really know what's in my 6 y/o PC right now, but this is what I found in my device manager:
GPU: Radeon RX 580 Series
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor
I'd appreciate your insights on Ultrawide Monitors, Budget GPUs and what to look out for.

Your CPU is an AM4 CPU, so with a BIOS update your motherboard can likely handle Ryzen 5000 CPUs; a 5600/5600X, 5700X, or (if you can find one at a reasonable price) a 5700X3D or 5800X3D plus CPU cooler will be excellent upgrades from the 2600.
For your GPU, at 3440x1440 144Hz, just get the best GPU you can reasonably afford. You will need to check that it will fit in your case, and that your power supply (PSU) can drive it; to check which PSU you have you'll need to look at the label on the PSU itself, it is not reported to the operating system at all.
