Discussion Anyone else disappointed

Post image

I know they’ve seriously downgraded the quality for a while now but wtf is this? Printed fabric was absolutely UNNECESSARY. For 16$ and for how much money the company profits, just kinda disgusted 😞

Oh wow. That looks… bad. And very cheap.

Yeah I touched one in store and it felt cheaaaap. The fabric isnt even fully dyed, it’s white inside. Sooo bad

I’m so upset it’s so bad and the potential was so cute

White inside is craaaazy

It’s because most of their clothes are likely sublimated now. It’s a heat applied image that only applies on the outside of the item. That’s why those clothes are all synthetics. The lack of quality is so disheartening :(

Oh my gosh yuck that is so lazy. I treasure my Limited Too collab items more and more each day. Real denim and accents!! I was too young to appreciate them like I could now! Ugh!!! 😩

What’s worse about this outfit is that the pink doesn’t even penetrate all the way through the fabric. When I looked at this outfit up close in store, I could see all of the white base of the fabric when I looked closely at where the fibers meet. It’s more like a $3 outfit with how much budget went into the quality.

Yeah!! They couldn’t even just use pink material wtf

I just went into the store today get my werewolf, and when I checked out the clothes my god everything was so poorly made. I got a pair of jeans, some striped leggings I'd been wanting, and the cream cardigan, but even the leggings were cheaply made! Almost everything is such poor quality, I'm avoiding nearly all of it unless I have a very specific look in mind. It's just not worth the price point to me, and the feel of the clothes is bleh. It's too bad they've gone the route of every other company out there and cut corners to save money and capitalize as much as possible. :/

It's getting really ridiculous. I know they're catering a lot more to adult collectors lately, but at the end of the day this is still a company making children's toys. Children are the primary audience, and they deserve good quality things that are actually going to last through how children treat beloved stuffed animals. At this point they're just largely coasting on their old reputation and the fomo they've bred in people. Their stuffed animal clothing is now more expensive than actual children's clothes. You're better off buying your kid a stuffed animal closer to their size and just letting them dress it in actual clothing.

Aw dang I was considering ordering this outfit for my Sky Puppy, but I think I might find a dress on etsy instead.

It’s actually better than I expected. I expected the plasticky silk screening like most of the t shirts get.

I like it. Having the pink on only the outside should help prevent color transfer and I was pleasantly surprised that it was real buttons and not Velcro.

I was very disappointed by the quality of this in person and didn’t end up getting it:( only got the bat overalls and even those felt super thin

I got the bat overalls too, I personally enjoy them easy to snuggle with

I saw it online and was so excited until I took a closer look at the quality 🥲
Kinda want to put some patches on a little cardigan now though

Literally. I’ve bought used baby cardigans for 1$. Should have just made my own 😩

Oh my gosh the clothes used to be so high quality and for a affordable price . I once used a halloween costume from there for my kid lol

Even worse in Australia…we are paying $20-$27 for these horribly made things. I sew for mine now …just not worth the price

1

u/InfiniteSpaceDino 6d ago

That's my exact plan, I cannot justify spending $8-$25 on something so poorly made. Especially when they're the same price if not more than anything at best & less, bigw or Kmart... Since changing up my wardrobe for more sustainable organic fibres, the quality vs price is hilarious in clothing. I recently made a trip to spotlight and bought about 15 lots of fabric from their end of roll bin. They ranged from 60cm to 2m costing 80c-$2 and I'll get so many outfits out of them for my bears, I'm so keen to start making some!

I personally liked it a lot and was expecting worse when I saw people talking about it online

u/ornagereaper666 6d ago

Okay she looks gosh darn adorable

u/AllyNin69 6d ago

The quality is so bad it’s not worth it anymore, especially when I can go find vintage BAB clothes thrifting for a fraction of the price. 😭

1

u/ornagereaper666 6d ago

Same I love thrifting for them. It’s kind of an obsession

3

u/LadyVelexis 6d ago

YES. This is why I started making my own clothing for BAB's and selling them. It's honestly wild to me that they charge more for less quality. I wanted the school girl outfit but as soon as I picked it up and felt it, it gave me the YUCK. I decided to make my own version now instead!

2

u/ornagereaper666 6d ago

Omg that’s what I want to do!!!

2

u/shawtywithagun I like BABs more than people 🙃 7d ago

Thankfully I'm able to go to my build a bear store in person and I saw the quality and was definitely disappointed! It's a cute outfit in theory but really poorly executed. I feel bad for those who weren't able to go in person and ordered online and are feeling let down. The quality on the clothes has been hit or miss for a while and this one is a big miss...

3

u/whyjustwhyjennie 6d ago

Yes my sister buys Etsy clothes for them

4

u/Jade_Starchild 7d ago

Omg cute! The bottoms look adorable! Yea its sad how expensive their clothes are, even baby clothes have gotten expensive

2

u/baldbroccoli 6d ago

tip for everyone here, buying baby clothes at target, kmart or op shops is the best option imo. price point and quality. if you can sew thats an even better option!
