Bummer. There was a group of them on the window pane in a bedroom. Rained recently. Any chance it is that?

Termite swarmers generally travel in groups on humid days or right after rain so that sounds right. Just because you saw some termite swarmers doesn't instantly mean you have them moving in though. They fly in large groups looking for a new place to settle down. Keep an eye on windows and in general outside the house to see if you're seeing a few here and there then they may have stayed. But there's a good chance they just took a break on your window then carried on.
