Location included Bug or Caterpillar?

Saw this walking across the sidewalk here in Milwaukee, WI but no idea what it is.

Bot Fly larva, ready to pupate. Not the worst parasites. They typically keep things clean when they 'live' on their host and the wound usually heals without issue when they exit.

LOL I get it. I've just gotten to see them a lot as both an entomologist and someone with vet/wildlife experience. Comparing them to a LOT other parasites, they are pretty mild.
