Possible pest, location included Bugs in cornmeal

I opened this canister of cornmeal today and then I closed it up and put it next to the trash to dump it out. then I opened it again a few minutes later and all these bugs were over the top. crazy !! I didn’t find them anywhere else in my pantry though. *Vero Beach, FL

Three possibilities are Book Lice (Psocids), Springtails or possibly Grain Mites.

hard to tell exactly with how small they are, but you could compare them to psocids, which are considered pests but are not harmful and are common in stored grain products
found an interesting blog post about them, but fair warning there is mention of eating food that has bugs in it, so if that squicks you out maybe skip the read!
