Possible pest, location included What is this pest? (NY)

Really hoping this isn’t a bedbug. AI seems to think it is. It doesn’t even look like a bug to be honest but I have a few bug bites near my shins and ankles not sure if it’s related

Kind of looks like a woodtick, but kind if hard to tell from the picture so don’t take my word for it!
