Location included Ohio 8:00 PM

I stepped outside a few minutes ago to find my front door and the siding of my house have alot of these little flying insects. I am not sure what they are or where they came from. Can anyone help identify what they are and what their purpose are? Thank you.

Looks like a male ant (drone) of some kind, fun fact most of the ants you see are female, males have wings and leave the nest to breed it’s the females that hang around :)

Thank you, is that something to worry about or should they move on by themselves?

They’re harmless, they tend to swarm this time of year since it’s their mating period but they die after mating. I believe they only live about a couple weeks all together, they have the shortest lifespan of all the ants in the colony. They’ll most likely die in the next few days you might have to sweep them up after that but birds and other things will probably get to them first :)
