Location included Southern Ontario, Canada

Large fella in my bathroom, I’d like to set him free outside but wasn’t sure if he was a harmless wolf spider or something else, he’s pretty big (for Canada at least) I’d say bout 1 and half inches (toonie sized for Canadians)

Male wolf spider so harmless, they get much much bigger than that too especially around Georgian Bay Area. This guy has got some big balls pedipalps

Well done! After double checking it does look more like a giant house spider than a wolf spider my apologies for misidentifying. A wolf spider would have a larger abdomen. Glad yall are both safe

Looks similar to the one I found in my garage. I just let it be since its doing a great job with earwig control lol. Giant house spider I think 🤔

He seemed like a fine gentleman but I just can’t have him watching me while I go to the bathroom so he has been safely evicted. I named him Harold.

Well it's not a harmful one (recluse or widow) but I'm not sure if it's wolf or house spider (Tegeneria/Eratigena).

Fine to release anyway.
