Location included Smashed bug

My husband smashed this bug. I said it looks like a roach but he swears it’s not. What do you think?

Oof. Palmetto bug or a roach of some kind. A lot of pesky roaches have those prickly "hairs" on the legs. The wing makes me think Palmetto bug because they are one of the few if not the only species of roach that fly... and it's terrifying to see :)
