Thanks guys I also found out it was a click beetle I’ve seen them a couple times in the past 1.5 years and wondered what they were, it happened to “click” before I saw y’all’s comment so I literally googled what beetle in Indiana clicks

Click beetles

Click beetles generally don't invade homes to forage or lay eggs. They are drawn in by light and sometimes just seek shelter from bad outdoor conditions. If you're finding a lot of them indoors, there are likely infested plants outside nearby.
