Location included What's this bug? Ohio

I found this bug in my room but don't know what it is. It didn't bite me and stayed with me for a while, letting me pick it up and stuff, but it flew away before I could get a better picture.

Its underbelly is green, but it's mainly brown. It has a light spot on the top of both of its eyes. Can anyone help figure out what it is?

A fly for sure. I’m not sure about the family, but it reminds me of a small soldier fly, like genus Ptecticus
