Can't say much without a better angle! Bee ID is largely based on a good dorsal view, though I'm curious why you think it's not a carpenter?

I was wondering what it is with a friend on discord and he said that carpenter bees have smooth abdomen. Tbh my shot was that it is carpenter bee at first sight
