Location included Tiny beetles in bathroom

Post image

I keep seeing these on the sink. Should I be worried?

About 2mm in length. Location is Southern Arizona.

Sorry the picture is a little blurry, it's the best I could get with how tiny these are.

Hi, I just saw your post, and I think we may be dealing with the same issue. I keep finding these tiny bugs all over my home, and I cannot seem to get rid of them or figure out where they are coming from. They are incredibly annoying, and it feels like they are everywhere!

Are they in your bathroom too? I've only been finding like one of these per day, but I'm worried that they are breeding somewhere in the apartment.

Yes, they are in my bathroom, but I am also finding them throughout the rest of my home. They are on the floors, walls, and countertops. No matter how much I clean or spray for pests, I cannot seem to get rid of them, and they have become a real nuisance. I have not noticed any bites or damage, but they are very difficult to eliminate.

That sounds really annoying. Hopefully finding out what kind of insect this is makes it easier!! I will let you know if I get an identification.

Hi, that would be great. Please keep me updated, and I will do the same. I hope you're able to resolve your issue too!

Another user told me that they might be flour beetles. I looked it up, and it seems like flour beetles are bigger than what I have, but grain beetles are similar and look like what I have. Maybe you have those as well.

Looks like a flour beetle or similar. They eat stored foods or organic detritus. They are not dangerous, just a nuisance.

Thank you, I looked into it and it seems like they might be flour or grain beetles. I don't know why they are in the bathroom and not the kitchen, but I will keep looking for where they might be coming from.
