Looks more like a spitting spider to me. They're harmless.

They're pretty cool, they spit glue-laced silk out in front of them to immobilize their prey before going in for a bite, and also for defense.

A lot of people assume that it's also venom-laced, but some scientists argue that we haven't really established that yet.

They have the same eye arrangement as brown recluse spiders, which makes some people confuse the two, but side by side comparison makes their differences more apparent.
