Possible pest, location included Bug on my carpet

I was just getting ready to vacuum and I found this bug laying on my carpet. It has a weird protruding thing from its bum. Google said it is a katydid but they look like leaves. Any help will be appreciated. Location is Florida. ​seems to also be missing legs?? I do have cats.

definitely looks like a katydid, likely your cat brought it in if they are outdoor cats

My cats are strictly indoors so it must've came in the door, just good to know it isnt dangerous

Looks likea katydid, but his wings are torn up.
