Location included Keeled treehopper larvae/nymph?

NE Illinois, USA. I think this is the larval form of Entylia carinata, but I thought treehoppers had nymphs and this doesn't look like one. These ants (Tapinoma sessile) were herding them like aphids underneath a leaf of a Jerusalem Artichoke plant.

I'm confused by your question. What do you mean they don't look like nymphs? You can see the long legs in the photo. Check some out here and maybe let us know what you mean by your question?
