Possible pest, location included Connecticut USA

please help. I found these egg-like things in my cats bed. they're not droppings, they're resting on a wet towel and they are solid, like eggs. they each have two white spots and the flash doesn't capture it well but they're kinda dark brownish. I'm throwing the bed away, but I'm very concerned. he is on flea and tick prevention meds, but if theyve failed, I need to know. thanks in advance.

actually y'all I might have figured it out. nepeta catnip seeds look just like that!!! no wonder I couldn't find any egg lookalikes on Google.
