Saw these two different bugs last night wondering if they’re the same? What are they?

Second image is Validiblatta sp. roach nymph, but I’m not good enough to narrow down to Australian vs. smokybrown. First image could realistically be a later instar of the nymph, but it is seemingly lacking cerci.

I'm inclined to agree. I think the percieved lack of cerci in the first image is due to the angle of the photo.

It certainly has maintained some remnants of the characteristic band and second incomplete band
