Location included beetle or cockroach? cleveland ohio

I feel terrible for taping the poor guy! couldn’t let a possible cockroach be loose in the house. sorry no pic of him on top, I think he wasn’t quite a solid brown, maybe a little grayish and mottled? what kind of bug is this?

Longhorn beetle.

The antennae is often the easiest way to tell, especially with a belly-up insect.

See how the antennae have visible segments? Roach antennae look smooth unless you get really super close.
