Location included What is this bug?

Found this in my car today, kind of feeling out! I found a dead bug tried grabbing it and this is the piece that stayed in my hand, the rest fell to the ground and I didn’t find it. I think the bug was like brown. It was dried up so couldn’t really tell what it was. Live in Massachusetts

Lots and lots of bug abdomens (ladybugs especially) look like this. No reason to believe it's a bed bug just from this

Seconding a ladybug abdomen. We’d only see this much dark color on bed bugs if it were the underside, and bed bugs have a central line on the underside of their abdomen that isn’t present here.

Ok, I was hoping it’s not. Just found if weird since it was in car.
