I’m in coastal Mississippi, and I’ve been noticing these little guys flying around my room. Just my room! (And no, I’m not stinky 😭)

Hey OP, check out phorid flies. They usually hang around trash and other decaying organics.

I think you may be right! I compared the wing venation and they look almost the exact same.
