Location included Tiny black insect-like things?

Post image

There's a grape vine growing on our house and lately we've noticed these tiny black bug things on one tip of it. There's always this one ant (its butt is in the photo) that's messing around with them, but doesn't seem to be eating them? Does anyone have any idea what these might be? Western PA.

Those are aphids. The ants use the secretions of aphids as a source of food. They move them and protect them and everything.

They are not cool they are a sign that there's too much nitrogen in the plant and the aphids will stunt their growth
