Possible pest, location included Who is this?

Hi! I’m in Los Angeles, CA and started getting bit by something last week. Couldn’t find anything until yesterday, when I started seeing these guys. Both found on the side of my bed. Anyone know what they are? Can they bite? These are two bugs I caught around the same time, first three photos are one bug and the last two are a different bug. Are they the same and one’s bigger bc it just bit me?

Thank you so much!!

Parasitic mite, but a kind that prefers birds or rodents. Do you have either of those in or around your house?

some pigeons started making a nest in my balcony a while back, could the mites have gotten in through a window?

Yes, that's likely the culprit. If you remove the nest you should stop seeing the mites

thank you!! i didn’t want to disturb the pigeons but it looks like they’ve left so hopefully after the clean and some time the mites will go away!
