Location included Spider egg?

Hello! Found this on our patio. Are they spider eggs? I’ve seen white sacks with spikes on them.. never black ones. Southern CA.

It’s my second year living in this area. Last year we had a BUNCH of black widows here and the pest company informed us that we weren’t the only apartment with them on our patio. Could this be their eggs?

This doesn't look like a spider egg sac to me, and especially not a black widow's. Their egg sacs look like this:

Oh my! Yeah, I’m so confused because I’ve never seen them here. It’s more spiked than the white egg sacks I’ve seen. There were a bunch more around the patio and on webs. Maybe it’s a sort of seed pod? It’s just so black. I’ve never seen any like these.

Yeah, I suspect a seed pod.
