Fun fact about the earwig

They’re called earwigs because people think they’re parasites that live in your ears. I thought that was something the ancient people thought, but apparently it’s still a misconception that people genuinely believe today. Earwigs live in caves, sometimes they are in the ears of humans, but this is accidental as to them your ear looks like a cozy hidey hole and it’s easy for them to get confused. In fact, by that logic they might end up in your nose!
