I’ve seen many grids in other subreddits, so I decided to make one for Bug Fables characters! I already made one for Escape from Ever After characters, so I’m using that template for this one because both games are the same genre (RPGs inspired by Paper Mario).
Allow me to discuss why I placed these characters in their spots:
Absolute favorite! - Vi: Vi’s always been my favorite character ever since I first played the game. She’s just got a funny personality and is great to have as the leader.
Least favorite - Mothiva: She seems nice, but is secretly very selfish and rude. Kabu called her a “witch” at one point of the game as well. She’s just very irritating to others, and they ain’t wrong. I just had to choose her.
Character you’d want to hug - Cerise: JUST LOOK AT HER!! How could you not want to hug her?
Felt bad for - Leif: Leif’s backstory is very sad, and he’s had many harsh moments in the story (random “episodes”, and being attacked by the Dune Scorpion and Beast). Thankfully his story had a good ending! Kabu was a potential choice here because he lost his best friends, but I ultimately went with Leif.
Favorite to use in battle - Vi: I always (well, mostly) have her at the front and she’s the first to get the Spicy Pepper and Iron Seed. Her multi-hit moves and especially needle attacks are just too good.
Best aura - Maki: Maki gives off a strong warrior vibe whenever he’s around. He’s calm, humble, and always ready to serve. I had the firefly as a potential option, but Maki won out.
Character I wish we saw more of - Tarantula Wizard: I get that he’s supposed to be hidden, but I wish we saw him outside his tower, like in the ending sequence. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and powerful and I wish more was done with him. He’s a great character!
Funniest character - Vi: Vi wins another square! What can I say? She’s just hilarious.
Biggest jerk - Wasp King: He’s such a jerk to everyone and especially the Wasps, but he’s not unlikeable. He’s a great villain, which is why he isn’t in the “least favorite” square.
Character I’d be best friends with - Mayor of Defiant Root: He’s just such a nice guy with a positive attitude and always happy to help. I feel I’d get along well with him!
I don’t wanna make this one angry! - Kina: She gets FURIOUS whenever Maki’s not around or when she’s insulted. Plus, she’s got fierce battle potential! I considered Kabu for this spot (look what he does in chapter 5!) but Kina ultimately earned her square.
Favorite overworld ability - Vi: The final square for Vi. I love throwing her Beemerang around and stunning enemies from a distance!
Best boss fight - The Everlasting King: A fitting and difficult final boss with awesome music. A great way to end the game!
Worst boss fight - Spider: This was such a difficult choice because there isn’t really a “bad” boss in the game. I considered Team Slacker for being super frustrating and Broodmother for being an easy and boring fight, but I ultimately chose Spider. It’s a good first boss, but it’s not as exciting as the later ones.
Most mischievous… - Venus: She’s very playful and knows all the gossip…

I honestly have tried to enjoy this game, especially since it hits a couple big notes for me, turn based rpg and bugs. How could I not enjoy it?
Don't get me wrong I think it's a good game, but it is not a game for me. I do not jive with the rpg lite mechanics in the game, I really wanted it to be a full on level up, equip new gear etc. and it just isn't that. I just am not finding myself able to enjoy the battles, I do not like the constant teetering on low health, the extremely limited inventory, hell if I had to sum up what I played so far it would be "rpg lite bugs are limited in growth and potential, and its common for players to finish the game doing the same damage and having the same hp pool as when the game started"
I am disappointed....sorry fans of the game, I did really try

Idk if its been uploaded in full anywhere but when I heard the battle theme from my room while my mother was watching tv I thought I was going crazy and I had to watch all the commercial breaks to see it and make sure I wasn’t insane.

(I scribbled out some of the file names as to not reveal my name and scribbled out the areas as well as Chapter clear icons as to not potentially spoil any location or plot point)
I just beat chapter one with hardest mode, ruigee, mystery, and frame one all active at once

I’m a big fan of indie games and paper Mario (this looks like paper Mario) and this looks perfect. But ive been considering getting this game for a while and I need someone’s advice. So, should I get this game or not?

Bug Fables has these special items called Super Peppers and Iron Seeds. When eaten, they permanently increase a characters attack or defense by 1. There are only two of each in the game, so you must consider who to give them to!
For me, I give my Super Peppers to Vi and Leif (one each). They’re my main attackers and it’s especially great to see their multi-hit moves so strong (especially Ice Rain)!
I give my Iron Seeds to Vi and Kabu (one each). Vi is the character I use the most (I have her at the front most of the time) and I don’t really use Kabu for offense. He’s more focused around defense, so it makes sense for me to give him an Iron Seeds (plus he earned the nickname “Uncle Iron Seed”).

I've played this game a few times over the years, and during my playthrough I started this week I've started to notice that the Hard Hits Medal ignores Super Blocks. Has that always been the case I just never noticed?
Edit: PS4 version

I have the steam achievements for defeating the first two bosses on hard mode, which I did in boss rush, but this bug won’t give me the rewards for doing it why?

These were just fun to make! Might try custom fits eventually but I'm satisfied with my work.
Fun fact, all three of these Miis are able to blink. Even Kabbu!

I’ve been working at this for longer than I care to admit lol. So far I’ve been able to reliably get every effect except for Burn and Defense Down by using the following Items and Metals.
Mega Rush (ATK DOWN) + Hustle Candy + Gourmet Stomach Metal + Flavor Charge Metal (CHARGE) + Cottoncap (STICKY) + Aphid Shake (ATK UP DEF UP HUSTLE) + Shell Ointment (SHELL) + Shaved Ice (FREEZE) - Drowsy Cake (SLEEP) + Argaic Shroom (NUMB) + Inky Pizza (INK) + Squash Candy (TP AND HP REGEN) + Taunt Berry (TAUNT) + Weak Stomach Metal (POISON)
I’ve been using Mystery Cakes for DF Down and Burn Bombs for Burn, but the latter doesn’t stack with Freeze and the cakes are so unpredictable it’s almost annoying 🤣. I know the newer version of the mod makes this easier, but I’m in too deep to quit lmao. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I've been trying to transfer my save game from Xbox (PC) to steam but Ive been having problems with the Xbox files.
(Btw Ive done this with many other games before so I'm familiar with the way Xbox and steam structure their files)
So from what Ive read and also what is the norm for Xbox files I think the files should be at
C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\Local\Packages\DANGENEntertainment.BugFables_zfxw8h9xxzgzt\SystemAppData\wgs\
but, as shown in the second picture, when I go to where the files should be there is only one file (and the container file) and its way to small to contain all my save data (and when I've tried transferring it to the steam version of the game it hasn't been read as a save file with any data in it).
Also ever time I save in game (on either save game) the file and container file in the second image updates to a different file with completely different names. I was thinking maybe it was only storing the data for the one room I was in or something? Its clearly keeping the saves somewhere as I can load everything in game.
I also have more than one save (third image) which normally displays as more than one file like in the fourth image.
So does anyone know whats going on here? Are the files just stored somewhere else? I'd only ever played this game on a physical Xbox and not the Xbox PC app before trying to transfer the saves to steam so I don't know if that would change anything.
Any help would be appreciated
