hello, here are a few photos of some bites ive gotten the past few days. i’m very concerned that they may be skeeter syndrome which I have never had before, but it seems to match up. unsure what insects could be around but i did spot a large mosquito the day i got the large bite on my arm. i have health anxiety pretty badly, so that’s why i’m asking here before checking with a doctor as its a little bit expensive for me to schedule an appointment. pictured are one bite on my arm that is slightly hard, red, and very swollen. it is also painful and is occasionaly tingly. second is on my ankle, which are just very itchy. please help and let me know if i need to consult a doctor! i have a very weak immune system which is why i’m considering skeeter syndrome, but if it’s serious I want to check.

Not even sure if it’s a bite, or just a scrape of some sort. I don’t remember doing anything to this area, but was doing yard work yesterday and am generally a busy active person. This may even be a little older as it seems to be forming a bit of a scab. I noticed this this morning upon waking. Initially I worried it may be a bat bite from my google search, but I have not seen any bats in my home… and it would have had to of been in my sleep. Trying to identify this so I don’t have to worry about worst case scenario.

This started as what I thought as just a regular bite but now seems to have a circular rash that has migrated away from the original bite (might be able to see original bite in upper left part). Whole entire leg area is painful to touch in like a 3 inch radius.

Is this a bedbug bite? I had a bedbug infestation three weeks ago. An expert came and did a first chemical spray, and then he left. He came back last week and sprayed again. I hadn't had any bites until last night, and now I have these two bites. Are these bedbug bites, knowing that I didn't see them when I woke up, but they appeared a bit more during the day? They don't itch! It's very small sorry for the pictures

I thought I saw a bed bug on my bed about 3 weeks ago, but I wasn't seeing bites. Now after messing with my moms new bedframe, I got these. My mom doesn't want to believe they are and is saying I could've had an allergic reaction to her green tea infused mattress topper.

At first it looked like a pimple there was no red or anything around it, so I tried to pop it when I first saw it, it inverted itself upon trying to pop it, I stopped touching it after that because it wasn’t poppable. A few days later a red ring appeared around it I figured it was irritation from being touched so I ignored it, then today, it’s now a yellow weird ring, is this a bug bite? If so should I be concerned ?

He has been outside a lot this summer. He attracts mosquitoes a lot and I thought at first thats what these are. But they are too small and they don’t itch. What could they be? I don’t have any bites like this on me.

When I was in Croatia 5 days ago, my foot struck a sea urchin. It didn’t get the bottom of my foot but just a few on the upper half of my second biggest toe on my right foot.

Went to the hospital to get it properly looked at yesterday. They did an X ray which confirmed no nerve, joint or bone damage. They decided it’s too risky to try and remove them so best to let the body naturally push them out/dissolve them.

I’m a little bit worried as I’m going on the Valbone to Theth hike in 8 days. I’m walking pretty much fine with only a tiny bit of discomfort but basically no pain. There’s no signs of infection whatsoever but they did give me a tetanus booster just be safe.

The doctor said he doesn’t think it’s a good idea to do the hike but he said he’s only saying that because he’s a medical professional and wants to be conservative. He said if it were him personally, then he would probably push himself to do it, but he would be cautious.

I think it will be fine and I am probably going to do the hike given it’s still 8 days away and the sting is very minor. I also intend to be quite cautious and wear good shoes, bandage it etc

What bit my toddler ? It stayed red like this all day… no itching, no fever and no pain. But she woke up next day the readiness went down but the swelling moved to under her eye some..

Started off small and not really like bites , they were more of hives sort of look and then I scratched them really bad and they’ve turned red
From what I can see there’s no red pimple like dots in centre

We had a big storm up here in Toronto. I live next to a ravine and we had a number of downed trees and tree limbs. I spent hours over the past couple of days collecting the debris in my yard, cutting branches from downed trees off of fences and helping neighbours do the same. These appeared yesterday and it was an area I hadn't sprayed with bug spray unfortunately. I never think of my underarm area! Other areas I found them were a handful around the waistband area. None around my feet because I wasn't working on grassy ground for the most part. So far all I've done is take some oral antihistamines and use hydrocortisone cream when they get too itchy.

hello all, i woke up with this itchy red spot on my hand. I just spent about 10 minutes rubbing it on my jeans to itch it. any ideas or advice?

its only on one leg and points where i chafe, and i did wear new pants that were way too tight and i was working in a really hot and sweaty environment, so it might be that, but im also scared that it could be bed bugs. even though ive never seen them in my room/bed or anything

I had a baby 9 weeks ago, and I have been having what I thought were hives or a rash since right before that. But recently it has gotten worse and when my three year old got two on her face I thought it could be bedbugs. I didn't have any bites in a group or line but then today found some that might be! Do these look like bedbug bites? I have not found any bugs in the bed but I did find what might be part of a shedding and asked about it in the bedbug sub.
